I am a qualified Counsellor (PROF. DIP PSY C.). My experience has been gained from working for the NHS providing Counselling for Depression for adults and young people 16-24. I've also worked in counselling roles for youth organisations and as a school counsellor supporting children (aged 6-16) and young people (aged 16-24) with 1-2-1 counselling therapy and family therapy (supporting parent(s) and child).

I use a blend of techniques to suit your individual needs and the issues you wish to address. If appropriate this may include elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and other evidence based therapy if a more guided approach is preferred.

I have worked with clients using short-term solution focused therapy (6-8 sessions focusing on issues you are experiencing in your day-to-day life) and on a long-term basis to look more at the past, helping you understand both yourself and how your past may affect things you do today.

I offer an initial free 30-min consultation so we can both be certain we could work together, then if you're happy to proceed, together we'll agree a focus for forthcoming sessions and agree a number of sessions, which can be extended if required.

I am currently offering Friday, Evening and Weekend appointments all via video / call due to shielding.
