My counselling is based in Transactional Analysis (TA), with its central philosophy of 'I'm OK, You're OK'. Put simply, this treats us all as capable of thinking for ourselves and making meaningful change, and that we are - fundamentally - loving and wise. I work with you to make use of these inherent qualities, starting from wherever you are. While this is primarily a 'talking' therapy, I also make use of Relational, Body-based and Outdoor approaches.
Before becoming a counsellor, I worked therapeutically in music education with visually impaired, autistic and disabled young people. I trained as a classical musician and - since 2012 - have instructed meditation, and live on a Sussex smallholding where I practice a keen interest in nature and ecology.
