Welcome, Life can seem extremely difficult at times as we may face situations that are challenging to deal with on our own. This can leave us feeling quite vulnerable and alone in the world, and may be caused by situations that seem out of our control.
We may desperately want to feel heard and validated but need someone other than friends or family to talk to. We may be comparing ourselves to others and struggling with who we really are or where we want to be in life.
Together we can explore the emotions you are feeling, I will help you to unravel all the sad and negative thoughts that keep ruminating within you and that are giving you those difficult feelings to deal with.
I will offer you somewhere safe and non-judgemental to explore the concerns you are experiencing. We can work together to make sense of what is happening in your world so you are able to feel less alone and able to move forward with your own life. We will work at a pace that feels safe for you and gives you that opportunity to have your feelings validated.
Individual counselling

INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING
All of us at some point in our lives will experience times when we feel that we are overwhelmed or cannot cope. These feelings often impact on other areas of our life so this may be the time to seek out a counselling.
Feelings such as anger, grief, anxiety, and loneliness can be distressing to deal with. Counselling can help you to explore and reflect upon these feelings. It can help you to understand what is at the root of the concern, and can help you to work towards resolving these difficulties.

RELATIONSHIP COUNSELLING
As well as working with individuals I have a keen interest in working with couples improve their relationships. I have carried out extra training in relationship counselling as this was one of the chosen modules during my counselling studies. It gave me good grounding and understanding of the dilemmas couples struggle with. I have a keen interest in how couples can improve their relationship by supporting them unravel the issues that appear to be causing the discord in the hope they can have a more harmonious relationship.

CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE (CYP)
Many young people aged 11-17 face a similar range of problems to adults, from family and relationship concerns to depression, anxiety, bereavement relationship issues anger, body image concerns and low self-esteem etc. This is all on top of school-related issues such as bullying and exam-stress.

All this may be happening while the young person is trying to establish a new identity as an adult. Many young people can feel inadequate or even ashamed of not being able to cope with all that life may be throwing at them

I can offer a calm, safe non-judgmental space to help them to untangle the issues that are wearing them down.

I am happy to offer a free 15-minute video or telephone call for you to ask me any questions you may have and to get a feel of how I work. I find this also helps the initial session feel less daunting for new clients as well as more of an understanding of how counselling works.
