Louise graduated from the prestigious Bretton Hall College of the Arts and Education in 2001 with a degree in Theatre Studies. After that, she obtained a Post Graduate Certificate of Education in Performing Arts for further education. Louise has worked in disability arts and mainstream and special education in Wigan, London and Singapore. She has worked successfully with children and adults with a range of challenges, including physical disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, severe and complex learning disabilities, communication disabilities, behavioural difficulties and mental health conditions. As well as being a qualified teacher, Louise is a skilled actor, director, writer and dancer. Louise currently teaches drama and dance and runs creative arts workshops on a freelance basis.
In 2015, Louise obtained a Masters degree in Psychology (with Distinction). The following year, she completed a MSc in Forensic Psychology (with Merit). In 2021, Louise qualified as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor. Louise's therapeutic style is truly pluralistic and she is trained in person-centred counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, and expressive therapies. Louise is currently expanding her skills and knowledge base and is studying for a PG Diploma in Advanced Counselling and Psychotherapy Studies. Louise is also training in Couple Therapy for Depression with Tavistock Relationships.
Louise currently works as a counsellor/therapist for an organisation called 1Point, based in Bolton and as a mental health practitioner with The Arch Initiative, a social enterprise who predominantly support people with anxiety.
In her spare time, Louise enjoys martial arts, running and yoga
