I have over 22 years’ experience of working with families, young people and people in crisis in support roles. I feel very passionately about providing everyone that I work alongside or in therapy with a safe, happy, nurturing environment. I have felt the desire to help and support people in a deeper more holistic way so I completed my reflexology course and also my hypnotherapy level 3 diploma and I studied my level 5 Chrysalis Professional Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling practise(prof. Dip. psy c.). My real passion and reason to entering into this career path is to support others. I provide a high standard of care and service to any client that I work with, that ensures client satisfaction and a feeling of empathy and understanding from the clients prospective, with clear focused strategies, and the ability to provide an insightful experience for all. I am able to work with clients in a friendly, helpful and approachable manner I have high personal integrity, and able to relate to and create trust in all. I am empathetic and ensure that the upmost professionalism is use when working with very challenging situations. I am an effective member of a team with my organisational skills I work effectively. I am happy to work under pressure and don’t get stressed by this rather I stay calm and complete the task in hand.
I Evaluate the clients needs and create a custom treatment plan that will work for the individual and I also adapt this as to ensure it meets the clients needs on that day, My training has given me a broad level of training which enables me to work pluralisticly. Drawing on approaches such as Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT Gestalt, Person Centred and Humanistic approaches. I work therapeutically with people who have suffered trauma, be that ambulance or fire personnel or school children or general public. I Teach groups coping mechanisms related to stressful and traumatic events they encounter this could be going in to office building and delivering a seminar or a talk within a school to provide information on how therapy can help. I help individuals with the resources needed to reach personal goals. I monitor client progress and adjust their treatment plan as needed. I have Experience of facilitating groups and running workshops and experience of running nurture groups and of play therapy I have experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team I have knowledge of local mental health services
Skills/Abilities I understand the developmental, emotion and, social and educational issues of children and young people. I write notes and reports on my sessions and have good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately. I have the ability to work closely with the relevant staff members to support the pupil and the capacity to balance confidentiality with the need for information sharing in a school setting. I have experience of delivering training to companies and students.

  • Qualifications & Experience
    I have obtained my level 5 in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and also my level 3 Diploma in Hypnotherapy. I am currently studying my EMDR Certification and will be qualified in September 2022.
    I have a BA hons in Early Years level 6 and also hold Early Years Professional Status.
