We all have our own path to walk, sometimes we can walk it on our own and sometimes we need a little help. I became a counsellor because I have had the benefit of that help on my path and want to help others have the opportunity. After experiencing anxiety and depression through personal experience of grief and bereavement I am very aware that asking for help can be the hardest thing we can face. There is an increasing need for a safe environment to explore these emotions through talking therapies.

I have spent five years training as a counsellor in Psychodynamic and Person Centred modes but favouring an integrative approach. I can offer a safe and confidential therapeutic space for you to explore your path in a non-judgemental, empathic and genuine way, I can facilitate face to face sessions and online counselling which can provide a more flexible option in times when public health restrictions can create uncertainty.

My background is in workplace education, providing personal development and learning opportunities for those that want to gain new skills, improve their existing skills or just looking to get back the awe and wonder of learning, building confidence and self esteem. There are some alarming statistics about the mental health issues that affect sections of our society that we should all be aware of. I think that by implementing the right therapeutic approach those that need the help can be encouraged so that asking for help is not an impassable mountain to climb.
