I value authenticity highly, and the quality of the relationship between therapist and client is widely regarded as the most important factor in facilitating effective therapy. The initial session gives you an opportunity to evaluate whether you feel a connection and whether an “honest” rapport can develop between us. In the spirit of Carl Roger’s, I share the belief “How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for her/his/they own personal growth?”. It is with this concord that we can have a broad and deep discussion about what works well for you in your life and what does not.
There is no fee for the first initial meeting which is up to 20 minutes, this first session can be face to face or if you prefer, by Zoom and Face Time. I have got limited space available where I offer a reduced rate for single parents on benefits and for students.
I have been holding an Advanced Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy since 2013 and a BA(Hons)in Person-Centred Counselling from the Metanoia Institute, London.
