About Me
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, I am still seeing clients online working only.
My name is Jo-Ann. Being a qualified, registered and accredited MNCS counsellor. My main clients are adult individuals, school-aged teenagers/adolescents and couples.
Sometimes we can sense that something is not going so well and maybe ponder as to what that might be, this can be ok. But when our daily lives become affected or are interrupted, then this is the time to maybe obtain some help from accessing counselling.
Emotional health is just as valuable as physical health, in fact, my belief is that the two twin together. My experience has seen that many people are helped by attending a counselling process or journey.
Making and having the time and a quiet space that is different to what you may be used to, lends its way to a clearer and more structured way of thinking, therefore enabling clearer thought processes and clearer ways of behaving. If you imagine a light bulb and how that glows each time it is switched on.
I specialise in working with adults couples and teenage school children who experience generalised and difficult anxiety, depression that is constant within lives, Bereavement, grief and mourning, attachment within past traumas of childhood, or trauma of sudden loss. Foggy brain, sadness, anger within adults and teenagers, self-image, low self-esteem with lack of self-worth, childhood trauma from narcissistic parenting. This list is not exhaustive.
Recently I have been helping the NHS frontline workers and key workers during the covid-19 pandemic by giving my time voluntarily.
The therapy space for you is within a quiet and sunny room that is situated on the ground floor by the front entrance and is equipped to help you feel welcomed.
My past experience has been with NHS GP Surgeries, Community counselling charities that specialise in helping school-age children to lead healthier and better lives. Charities that specialise in helping parents with young children.
