As your Counsellor, your individual Counselling journey is important to me, I believe in a safe ethical and confidential space.
Prior to qualifying as a Counsellor, I worked therapeutically with adult survivors of PTSD, domestic violence, child abuse and mental health issues. From this, my 20 years’ experience, I can say, no two people and no two life events are alike. Because no one size fits all and to offer a compassionate alternative, I recently trained as an Integrative Counsellor.
Working with adult survivors helped me to understand the importance of being heard and accepted, struggles an all. I became a Counsellor because empathy and compassion are at my core being, given, unconditionally and without judgement.

My training and experience give me a broad range of tools with which to tailor my approach to suit the individual. I am passionate about offering therapy which is evidence-based, holistic and person-centred.
I understand our past experiences often underlie our current patterns or responses. However, see these as normal and natural reactions to distressing circumstances. All too often labelled anxiety, stress, depression, grief or anger. As a practitioner, I want to see past the label and see the person. I believe we all have the ability to make changes in our lives, our thinking and ultimately how we feel. Together we can work towards your happier way of being.
Since you are unique, as your Counsellor, I will work with you, whatever you bring, with no preconceived ideas of how to fix you. Some people find Counselling helps them to decide which areas in life they want to change. Others want help to find solutions or ways of coping with the challenges life has given them. Yet others have specific problems they want to tackle. Most people also want practical solutions or ways of coping with problems that they can use on a daily basis. As someone once said to me ‘my house is on fire now, I need to put the fire out, not look around for the matches’.
Together we will create a road-map which works for you and enable you to gain a sense of choice in your life.
If you want to see if we can work together, call me, with no obligation. (Enquiries weekdays 9.30 – 11.30am).
