Many people are experiencing anxiety and depression in these difficult times, I am to offer a warm, non-judgemental space to unpack whatever is weighing you down, at a pace that feels safe for you. The way I work puts you in the center and you will be in control of what happens. I will not push ideas onto you, or give you lots of advice. Instead of turning on the light for you, I will not shy away from stepping into the dark alongside you so that we both may work together to find the switch.
Counselling aims to help people get in touch with the feelings underlying their depression, to express these, make sense of them and develop new ways of looking at themselves and the world around them. This is achieved by me focusing on how you feel and understanding your situation from your point of view. Counselling sessions will often involve you taking the lead and I will follow what you wish to talk about in a gentle, thoughtful and understanding manner.
