Hello and Welcome to Evergreen Counselling. I started Evergreen for those individuals who feel that something is lacking within their lives; like a connection, somewhere has been lost. Maybe you feel that you are 'stuck' in a pattern that keeps repeating itself and it may feel that you are carrying a metaphorical weight around with you. Or have you gone through a traumatic time and are finding it hard to cope? It takes courage to seek therapy and I commend you for taking this important step.
How can Counselling Help?
Whatever has brought you to my page; I aim to give you the space to talk and be listened to with empathic understanding and care. Counselling works best when the client is heard and supported in a non-judgemental environment, giving you the time to discover and hear your own thoughts and feelings in safe and comfortable surroundings. Therapy can help you view yourself with more awareness and in doing so help you to find contentment in your life.
I am an Integrative therapist which means that I view the person holistically, as a whole, acknowledging the different levels of functioning we present to the world around us. Integrative practice brings together elements of different schools of theory allowing adaptability to the individual. The therapeutic relationship is seen as paramount in Integrative counselling as this is where the client is able to feel safe enough to explore what is going on for them and the counsellor is able to best adapt to the clients needs, set within a boundaried framework set by both parties.
I am able to work collaboratively with you at your pace and focus on what you need to in the timeframe you would like. I believe that everyone is individual and as such cannot squeeze into a 'one size fits all' approach.
