I have worked in Charity, Private, Public and Voluntary Sectors during my working career since 1987 supporting many different and unique individuals in many different working spaces and environments. I have always been interested in people and started an Introduction to Counselling Course way back whilst living in Cambridge in 2002 but then circumstances changed which gave me the opportunity to work and volunteer over-seas; based in Basel, Switzerland for 6 years and Texas, USA for 2 years. I am a passionate believer in Life Long Learner and studied as a mature Student with the Open University. I am hoping to study further in the future at Masters Level in understanding the brain more and specifically in neuro-diversity
Returning to the UK in 2013, I embarked on further training and more specifically for my passion to become a fully trained Counsellor back in the UK. I have now worked as a Relate Trained Relationship Counsellor since 2014, having over 3,300+ hours working with couples and individuals of all ages and Young People between the ages of 13 and 25.
