Key Worker CounsellingMates in Mind

I am trained as a Therapeutic Integrative Counsellor. Building on my rich life experience and solid background have enabled me to give a steadfast capacity to working with difficulties, with warmth and genuiness.

I am a fully insured professional Counsellor, who has worked as a Cancer Care Counsellor with the NHS- helping people from all walks of life, I now work in private practice. We will explore together, get to know what is actually happening for you, what does and doesn't help. New awareness arises and new methods mastered, new approaches discovered. Given space and witnessing the unbearable feelings and you find thoughts will diminish, your problems become ones that you have the resources to deal with.

I will help you to 'get out of your head' and feel your way into your body and emotions, being able to read the body's signs to allow you to gain insight and thereby help you to connect to yourself and others.

This process of connecting to yourself and listening inwardly can be helpful in many ways. It can support you to make clearer decisions in your life and allow you to reconnect to a truer sense of who you are and what you need. This is often called 'mindfulness' and is recognised within the NHS and stress treatment programs around the world, as significantly contributing to improved mental health.
