I work with clients that are aged 19 years and over. I work in a warm and empathic way with all of my clients which is important so that you can feel listened to and heard . I also have eleven years of experience of working with many issues as a counsellor, so I am experienced and I use this experience to work with my clients issues . I work online via webcam /voice only / telephone sessions. My clients find this beneficial to them and this is because there is no need to travel to your session with me, it is time saving . Maybe you are not feeling in the right place to travel to an office for your counselling appointment. I have completed substantial training for online counselling .

Counselling with me can also be effective because of the benefits of having someone to talk to in confidence outside of a friendship group or away from those that know us . Please contact me by email, text message or phone call if you would like to have some counselling . If I cannot answer the phone , please leave a voicemail and I will return your call as soon as I can.

I do not provide an emergency service. I will put the names of a few agencies that you could make contact with if you are in a crisis:

Your GP could refer you to an appropriate agency and offer you help.

111 is a service that you could ring when you need advice or medical treatment quickly and you cannot wait to see your doctor.

If you need emergency medical treatment ring 999

The Samaritan's are available 24 hours a day , 365 days a year whatever your going through. Tel 116 123 call for free.

I practice within the BACP Ethical Framework For The Counselling Professions. I also work within the ethical framework of the national counselling society ( NCS).

I have monthly supervision with a very experienced, qualified and counsellor that is also an accredited member of BACP and that has trained as a supervisor.
Experience
I have worked with those that for example may feel low in mood, angry , have been suffering from depression and are feeling anxious , panicky or suffering from panic attacks. There are various reasons for this that I have been able to enable clients to work through. I have experience of working with many other issues including

Relationship issues
work related stress
bereavement
low self esteem
feeling sad
health issues
Some just come for sessions to work out what is causing them to feel as they feel and then we can work through that.
With five years of experience in volunteering for Cruse which is a national bereavement agency , working with the bereaved I have developed a particular interest in working with bereavement . Indeed I studied the subject of death and dying within my Health and Social Care Degree. I have also chaired a local branch of a Cruse Bereavement Care for one year.

Having worked as a volunteer on the telephone helpline for a national emotional crisis help line, I feel that I can work empathically with those that are feeling very low depressed or suicidal.
As I hold a degree in health and social care and because I have worked as a trained nurse in a hospital and in nursing homes I have therefore gained an insight into the types of health and family issues that might bring clients to my counselling practice . This includes:

The care of the ill and terminally ill patient and the impact that this has on both them and their families .
Families that are facing a bereavement and those that have been bereaved.
Those facing planned and emergency surgery
Those with acute medical conditions.
those with physical disabilities and their families / carers
Those that are ageing and their families

I work for clients that approach me on an individual private basis and I also work for agencies and employers that offer counselling for employees , I have been in private practice for 11 years so I am an experienced counsellor.
