Welcome, I am Shannon, an experienced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor (MNCPS Accred.) in the modality of Transactional Analysis with specialism in Trauma and working with young people.

My private practice The Space Between Counselling provides a space to explore what may be causing you difficulty, harm or distress in your daily life. There may be a space between where you are now and where you want to be. I offer a welcoming, confidential space, working with individuals aged 18 and over, both online and from therapy rooms in Horam and Hove. I offer both short term and long term therapy.

In Transactional Analysis we work to three core ideas:
People are OK - I will treat you with respect and compassion; even when it may be hard for you to find this within yourself.
People Can Think - we will work together, as partners - your voice will be heard and valued in the space we share.
People Can Change - I see therapy as a change process - we are not fixed or stuck, even if it may feel like it sometimes. I will support you to achieve the growth and change you are looking for.

I offer a warm, open, creative and exploratory space, using my experience & knowledge in adapting to the needs of each person I meet. We will work together to create a space which feels safe and secure.

Alongside my private practice I currently volunteer for a charity called As You Are. In this capacity, over the past few years, I have provided one-on-one counselling to Adults, including a partnership with YMCA, co-facilitated an emotional well-being group and worked extensively with teenagers and young adults at a local college.

I offer a warm, open, creative and exploratory space, using my experience & knowledge in adapting to the needs of each person I meet. We will work together to create a space which feels safe and secure. If you would like more information please contact me directly, or visit my website.
