I worked as a continuity of carer midwife in both the NHS and private healthcare and my experience of working in women’s healthcare and observing the lack of emotional support for women at various points of need in their lives such as miscarriage, difficult pregnancies, difficult experiences while pregnant, traumatic births, postnatal struggles inspired me to specialise in this area.
