As a school teacher/Director of Learning, for sixteen years, I witnessed the difficulties many children and young people face. A great many of our children and young people find themselves depressed, unhappy, filled with doubt, anger and anxiety. They find themselves frustrated, “stuck” and seemingly unable to find a direction, or move on to the next stage of their precious lives. This is a personal tragedy for them, and an immeasurable loss to our society as a whole. I became a psychotherapist in order to help young people and adults in such situations. I am a fully qualified psychotherapist/counsellor, registered and accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Society and Public Health England. As well as offering professional expertise, my practice is based on honesty, compassion, patience and equality. I am a pluralistic therapist which enables me to offer a variety of treatment directions and enables the client to find a direction he/she is most comfortable with. Above all, I will listen and work collaboratively with each person in order to help them improve how they feel about themselves, and the world in which they live.
