Life frequently presents us with unexpected problems, often leaving us feeling distressed and overwhelmed. I understand that talking about your thoughts, feelings and behaviours may feel overwhelming, therefore whatever has brought you to seek counselling I recognise the immense strength it takes to reach out. I believe it is important that finding the right counsellor is vital, someone who you can trust and feel comfortable with. That's why I offer a safe, confidential, empathetic, and nonjudgmental environment in which you can freely express yourself. Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, interpersonal issues, the impact of trauma, the weight of sorrow or loss, or just want to build a deeper self-understanding and purpose, my approach is personalised to your specific needs. My values hold a strong focus on the therapeutic relationship, believing that a genuine, caring, safe, trusting, and compassionate connection is the foundation for effective growth in therapy. The goal is to help you develop a greater self-understanding and empower you to make decisions. I run my practice from my premises in Glenrothes which is wheelchair accessible.
I am a qualified and experienced Pluralistic Counsellor, registered member of the NCPS, with my practice being accredited by my professional association. I recognise that as a unique individual, a one size fits all approach does not work for everyone therefore being trained in this way allows me to offer you the very best service by working with you around the challenges you may be facing and supporting you to find solutions for change. I believe in a pluralistic approach to psychotherapy and will collaborate with you to understand your specific requirements by adjusting our work to meet your therapeutic goals. I have the skills, knowledge, and experience to establish and build a therapeutic relationship with you whereby together we can talk through any difficulties, exploring and helping you on your journey.
