How Counselling can help:
It can feel like you are alone when trying to deal with your problems so I can help you by working together where we explore your thoughts, feelings, experiences and relationships so that you can speak your truth and find the solutions, which will provide an opportunity for personal insight, growth and change, without the worry that you may have about talking to friends or family about your problems. I am passionate about the positive effects that talking to counsellor can have, who is there just for you, and I understand how difficult it is to take the first step in contacting someone like me to ask for help. I think it is hugely brave to do so.

What to expect in your first session:
I understand that you may feel anxious about our first meeting. I will send an email to confirm our first session and will include the details of how to find me, where to park, our working agreement and my data privacy policy so that you can familiarise yourself with these details before your first session.
First sessions will generally start with some paperwork, where I will run through our working agreement, and I will gather some details from you for my records. I will then turn to the reason for your appointment where I will invite you to bring whatever you wish to start with, and we go from there.

I offer flexible daytime and evening appointments to individuals over the age of 16 and I also work with couples and families and am a clinical supervisor.
