Miss Ellie Hobson

Member Status: Accredited

Member No: NCS20-00626

Location: Holywood

I work with an integrative approach to therapy, using person-centred and psychodynamic modes of practice. Person-centred means being with a client as they process their pain. Psychodynamic means looking at the past and in particular childhood experience and history to enable a client to understand why they may be reacting or responding to different circumstances in the here and now, as an adult. I believe in non-judgement, acceptance, curiosity, playfulness and empathy. I help to give insight into certain patterns of behaviour which may be leading to unhealthy lifestyle choices. I encourage clients to become all that they were made to be. The best part of this job is to see clients flourish! I have experience working with adults, children and families. I love to incorporate the outdoors therapeutically in my work with clients. I believe in the power of nature and the outdoors to move, heal, revive and restore us. I work in a trauma-informed was and enjoy exploring attachment. I believe that movement can help us to take another step towards healing and I enjoy using body interventions such as walking, wild swimming or simple breathing exercises to facilitate recovery. I also believe in spirituality and faith and I’m open to exploring these thing in client work.
