I became a counsellor because I don’t want anyone else to feel bad about themselves or their lives, I want them to be happy and heard. Is that too much to ask about our lives? To be heard and understood.
My name is Darren, and I am a qualified counsellor who works with adults online and face to face in a co-creative, pluralistic framework offering an alliance to bring about positive change. What this really means is this, I can work in many different ways to help, I can tailor-make our sessions together with you so that you can get the best out of our time together in a useful, comfortable and constructive way.
In our counselling sessions, I am an empathetic ear, and I understand that you are a unique person and will benefit from a unique therapy that we work on together to help build positive change.
I can work with you if you suffer from anxiety, Stress, and depression. You will find a person that will listen and understand what you are going through, I have been there in my own life, and I have come out the other end, and I know that if we work together, you can too.
I work with Bereavement, it is difficult when we lose someone dear to us, and sometimes we need to talk, I also believe losing a loved job, or lifestyle is also a bereavement. Whilst going through change, we can feel fear and loss, I understand this and can help you help yourself to move forward.
Trauma, life can be difficult to process, it can add to our negativity when we feel we can not work out what to do with our lives or how to see that light at the end of the tunnel, and above all, come out the other side. Talking and learning to process how we feel is often key to creating real change.
I know that this all sounds like a magic wand can be waved in the air, and you will be zapped to better emotional and mental health, but it is not magic, it is real work. Often it is hard; sometimes it seems pointless, and a lot of the time it is fun and humorous. But it is a case, like so many things in life, you will get out of it what you put into it.

With Private Practice, The sessions are 50 minutes and can be ongoing or just a few sessions, Many want it over time, many feel more positive in just two or three. It is up to you,
I also do weekly or fortnightly.
