I am a formally trained teacher, trainer, counsellor and art psychotherapist and have lived and worked all over the world eg, India, Papua New Guinea, Bangladesh, US and Australia. My experience is across all age ranges including disability, however, my specialism is working with children and young people, especially those with complex and multiple issues. I have extensive experience supporting young people’s mental health, working as a student counsellor and art psychotherapist in schools in Australia. My PhD research was in the area of early intervention with art therapy and adolescents with symptoms of mental health problems. I have also extensive experience working with young people with complex and multiple issues, ranging from severe mental health diagnoses, behavioural, social and emotional issues. These causes may include attachment disorders, development disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, psychosis, and are often part of a history of trauma and abuse. I have worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team in schools, hospitals and in the community.
I am registered with the Health & Care Professional Council (HCPC) and the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT), a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My framework is child-centred, often working psycho-educationally and with an individualised approach for every child and young person.
I am able to offer both individual and group work.
I am able to work in Cirencester, Swindon, Fairford, Lechlade, Faringdon, Cricklade, Purton, Blunsdon, Highworth, Burford, Tetbury, Kemble, Royal Wootton Bassett.
