I am a person-centred, integrative therapist, meaning that I will tailor your therapy to your individual needs, rather than trying to make one 'model' fit everyone. Clients come to me with a range of issues that they are struggling with and, even if two clients both present with general anxiety, the cause is likely to be completely different and, therefore, what helps each of them is likely to be different, too.
Hypnotherapy is something that benefits a wide range of clients, as is IEMT and CBT, but these will be interwoven with general psycho-education and talking therapy to ensure that the root cause of any issue is addressed, to prevent a recurrence in the future.
Although I am qualified in a number of areas, I feel that life experience is my most useful attribute in the therapy room. I am a mum to 3 adult children and we have experienced many ups and downs in life, which is what led me to train as a therapist. I am genuinely non-judgemental, I understand that we can all make mistakes when we find ourselves in a difficult situation, or when we just didn't know any better. Therapy is all about learning to understand who we really are, why our life has been the way it has, and how to make a better future for ourselves.
