Seeing a therapist doesn't mean there's something 'wrong with you'. It means you may...
Feel now is the right time to work through some of your emotions;
Need to work through some traumatic experience;
Want to challenge your negative thinking patterns;
Need some clarity in some areas of your life;
Be ready to learn new techniques which will enable you to cope better;
Feel the time is right to focus on personal growth; or
Feel somebody else may benefit from talking about what's going on for them.
It can often feel scary, nerve wracking and sometimes overwhelming talking to a complete stranger, and that's natural to feel that way. I provide a friendly, non-judgemental & safe environment within a warm, comfortable, and inviting counselling room.
Person-centred counselling is a non-directive client lead talking therapy; sessions provide you with a safe place to talk.
I work with individuals (aged 11 onwards), families and couples, who present with a variety of issues from exam stress, anxiety, depression, peer pressure, bereavement, infidelity, friendship issues, current or historic abuse (sexual or domestic) and family relationships.
