My Approach
As an integrative counsellor I'm trained in a variety of approaches and offer a way that feels right for you. My general outlook is person centred, humanistic & holistic, meaning that I will respect your viewpoint, be congruent & support you through your own process.
My experience has given me he opportunity to work with a wide range of clients & their concerns.

Being Heard
Simply talking with someone who is listening deeply to what you are saying, can be a hugely supportive experience.

An empowerment model of support
The difficult circumstances we experience often deprive us of our sense of agency & self worth. Working with empowerment can redefine our sense of self & renew our capacity for living fully.

Trauma sensitive Body Centered therapy
This can be deeply effective in exploring & releasing the adverse effects of trauma. I have found this to be invaluable in my time supporting survivors of domestic violence.

Relaxation & Mindfulness techniques
These can help alleviate the symptoms of stress, anxiety & depression and also allow us to see things with greater clarity.

Creative Expression
If you find it hard to put what you’re thinking & feeling into words or prefer to explore & reflect creatively, we can also use drawing, painting, sandtray, modelling, story cards and being outdoors.

Your Requirements
You may feel you need short term counselling or longer term support, you may feel you have a particular issue or are struggling with a general sense of stuckness or anxiety. You may feel you can't put what you need into words & are not quite sure what sort of support you're looking for.

All of this is OK ~ as we start with where you are now, looking to gain a deeper understanding of your situation. This deepening insight brings with it an increased sense of freedom & choice. Effective therapy enables us to live life in a more informed and conscious way, instead of feeling stuck, this may involve taking action, shifting perspective, or both.

I offer a first session free, allowing you to ask any questions you need to ask, to reassure yourself that you feel safe & comfortable with me as your counsellor. Please contact me by text or email & I will arrange to call you back at a convenient time.

To accommodate these times of distancing, I am working mainly online, although I am happy to discuss meeting in person.
