This world is a fast-moving, pressured and sometimes, bewildering place. We are expected to navigate it while carrying the heavy weight of the opinions and expectations of others. No wonder that we can become overwhelmed, worried and sad.
I can’t (sadly) change the world or your experiences in it, but together, we might be able to find a way for you to move forward, feeling more in control, more confident and hopefully, happier.
Since qualifying in 2016 I have worked with a wide range of adults and young people including those with a range of neurodiversities or mental health diagnoses.
I am an integrated therapist, a discipline that offers a lot of freedom and flexibility to work in a way that suits you. I work on the assumption that the person who understands your life, your feelings and your brain best, is obviously you. I can offer a safe space and a framework that helps you explore and make sense of your experiences.
As well as being a counsellor I work with the Disabled Children’s Team in Bristol to offer respite and support to families who have children or other family members with disabilities.
My work and training in foster care and with disabled children and their families has enhanced my understanding of the long-term impact of trauma as well as the effects on families of being part of that system.
I offer face to face sessions in a welcoming community space in South Bristol (where there is also excellent cake!). I can offer video or telephone sessions if that works better for you.
My room is not accessible if you are a wheelchair user or have limited mobility.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions at all.
