I understand that looking for a counsellor is a big and brave step and the thought of it can be very daunting. I offer a safe, confidential environment where you have the space to share and express the thoughts, feelings and emotions that may be weighing heavily on your shoulders.

By taking the time to learn and understand ourselves and our personal journeys/life experiences we can get in touch with those core feelings and start to heal. This process is about moving forward, building trust and confidence within yourself to make more conscious choices throughout all areas of your life; to reconnect and rebalance ourselves physically, emotionally, spiritually and start our own journeys back to our true and authentic selves.

Most of the techniques I use are from the Emotional Therapeutic Counselling (ETC) model This model takes an integrative approach to working with people and we believe there is no single approach to working with each client. This means that we will draw on theories, and strategies used in a range of different therapeutic models depending on the client and their needs.

During the sessions you will have the opportunity to work through a range of different tools to help aid and support you explore and gain a new perspective on issues. Some examples could include meditation/visualisation, creative expression, letter writing and journaling. It will also be possible for me to set you tasks to work on in between sessions if you choose but I stress that none of these are compulsory for you to complete but instead form part of a large tool box which we can use if you choose.

I offer a free 30 minute consultation to all new clients to determine if I am the right counsellor for you.
