Many people experience periods of feeling distressed, trapped, or overwhelmed by their thoughts and feelings during challenging times. It can feel a real struggle during these times, but counselling can assist you to gain greater clarity about the experience, and assist in regaining balance in your life. As a counsellor I promote and aim to improve positive mental health and emotional wellbeing as I believe strongly that together they produce better results.

I am predominantly a person centred Counsellor, who draws upon other therapeutic models of counselling, to give you the opportunity to restore balance into your life. I have experience of a wide range of emotional issues including: Anxiety, confusion, fear, panic attacks, bereavement and loss; and low self worth.

I remain continuously passionate and curious about the way, we as human beings continue to develop and strive for survival in the most difficult of circumstances. I feel privileged that they may allow me to be with them for a time on their journey throughout the counselling relationship.

“I truly experienced the relationship of trust in the counsellor and felt that James was really helping me to work through the issues we discussed.”

“James is a great listener with a gentle and calm manner and makes me feel that I am in a safe space. I have been able to vent, cry and all the rest and can’t have been the easiest of clients but he never let that show. He has helped me go from suicidal to a new positive way of dealing with my emotions and issues in a short space of time. I feel as though I have a future to look forward to thanks to his help and guidance. Thank you so much James!”
