As a humanistic counsellor, I believe counselling is a collaboration between the two of us, my role being to remain present in order to hear, accept and explore whatever you need to in a safe, calm and open space.
I use a number of approaches to support you – person-centred ways of working, transactional analysis, existential therapy – with the aim of bringing into the light aspects of your life that are difficult to talk or think about.
You may simply be interested in understanding yourself better, or be experiencing anxiety, or have concerns that will not go away. If there are aspects of your life that you find hard to manage on your own, I can help you to explore these issues through counselling in a warm, honest and supportive way.
My own experience brought me into the counselling world, and the changes it made in my life have been long-lasting and beneficial. I continue to work to improving myself as a counsellor, and I have monthly supervision with a qualified counselling supervisor in order to ensure I am working ethically and in your best interests at all times.
At present, due to the pandemic and lockdown measures, I am only able to offer Zoom and telephone sessions.
