*I am not accepting new clients at the moment, but will update this space when I am.

My approach to therapy is to help you as the client determine the goals for your treatment and the most effective ways to meet those goals. I do not push my agenda on you and I work at your pace. I partner with you to help you face the challenging areas in your life and walk with you through the healing process. I use a person-centered approach and other modalities depending on the client; there is no one-size-fits-all approach to your treatment. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), strengths-based, and reality therapies are the modalities most utilized, depending on the client’s situation, needs, and preferences.

Growing in self-awareness helps to accomplish the goal of therapy: to assist you in building skills and strengths that will empower you to apply them to your everyday life. You will find me to be a down to earth, empathetic, and caring individual who is willing to walk with you on your journey of self-awareness, introspection, healing, and emotional growth.

I will provide the encouragement and support to help you learn, grow, and ultimately reach and maintain your goals. Building upon your unique strengths, I will also incorporate new skills and tools to help you communicate, problem solve, and manage day-to-day stressors more positively and effectively.

I have experience with, and enjoy, working with a wide variety of people including diversity in age, economic status, culture, and ethnicity. I enjoy making connections with people and exploring ways to go deeper emotionally to look at the root of an issue. I also believe it is important to do this emotional work with sensitivity but also with a sense of humor.

I am passionate about supporting individuals with new approaches and practical skills to improve relationships, reduce stress, decrease conflict, identify strengths, and create new and positive coping techniques.
