I am an integrative counsellor and yoga therapist, working in South Norwood, London, and online. I specialise in pre- and post-natal mental health and fertility issues. My other areas of focus include, depression, anxiety and somatic distress. My therapeutic approach is based on creating an empathic, safe space for you to nurture self-awareness, explore, resolve or reconcile with troubling or distressing feelings and experiences.
Counselling sessions take place weekly and last for 50 minutes. I tend to work within an open-ended model of therapy, which enables clients to go at their own pace and reach a deeper level of healing and self-growth.
An initial assessment session gives us the opportunity to establish whether we will be a good fit for each other and gives you the chance to ask any questions you may have about our sessions or counselling in general.
I co-founded the Nurture Hub in 2017 with Chanelle Thornton, a mental health psychologist and hypnobirthing teacher. Our professional and personal experience made us keenly aware that many women experience intense emotional pressures and anxieties related to fertility, pregnancy, childbirth and postnatal wellbeing – much of which can go unrecognised and unsupported. The Nurture Hub was developed in response to this crucial gap in care for women at vulnerable stages of their lives. It provides women with wrap-around pre- and post-natal support at a practical, physical and psychological level.
As part of my work with the Nurture Hub, I provide counselling and one-to-one yoga sessions for specific wellbeing issues. I take part in a range of community projects, workshops and talks. The Nurture Hub also offers birth consultations, hypnobirthing and specialised packages.
I am a professional member of the NCS and I abide by their ethics, standards and practices.
