These are stressful times so I am happy to offer a free 15 minute Zoom (video-cam) or telephone consultation with no obligation ... just a chance to see how it feels to talk.
People seek counselling or self-help for many reasons but often the focus is solely on the person, not the impact of behaviour on those around them. I provide a safe, therapeutic, confidential space working collaboratively with individuals and couples helping make sense of what might be going on personally and also the overall effect.
I am a CPCAB qualified practitioner and a registered member of the BACP. I also work at Relate specialising in relationship therapy and in partnership with Tavistock using Mentalization Behavioural Therapy (MBT) helping together and single parents in conflict.
I am also offering Single Session Counselling (one-at-a-time work). If you don't feel the need for ongoing therapy but have a specific issue or dilemma that you would like to tackle as quickly as possible in order to move on with your life, then we can talk about this in a focused way during a single appointment. I believe it's important for people to have autonomy when seeking help and sometimes just one conversation can make a real difference.
Using systemic and psychodynamic training with a range of modalities, as you can see this is not a one size fits all viewpoint - rather an organic approach and validation of perspectives - along with a uniqueness and non-judgmental attitude to help you and your situation.
Good self-esteem, healthy boundaries and positive relationships are all key to the foundation of our general mental health and overall sense of wellbeing.
