I am an experienced counsellor with additional qualifications, life skills and client work in -
Relationships - we can struggle in all kinds of relationships. These with friends, colleagues, partners, family, in-laws, children, parents and even loss of a relationship can cause stress and upset. Sometimes it can be hard to try to unravel the problems on your own. I have life skills and experience in a private practice setting that has enabled me to help many people work through challenging issues. This has given them some clarity and reinstated their own sense of understanding. With this on board they have managed to make their own informed choices concerning problems that had been affecting their relationships.
Sexual abuse and assault (historic and current) - years working within a sexual abuse charity supporting the victims, the survivors and their families cope with the trauma that abuse can inflict. By giving the client space and time to be heard without judgement or question enables trust to begin the counselling process.
Victims of voyeurism - a often misunderstood crime which can have devastating effects on the victims. I have worked successfully with clients who's lives have been emotionally and physically violated by voyeurism and the voyeur.
The first step - Does it feel as though you are overwhelmed and everything is too much to cope with at the moment? Do you need individual time and space to talk about what is going on in your life. We can work together and take the first steps towards gaining back control or start understanding why you feel you feel stuck or struggle with painful feelings and emotions.
How we can work to solve it - Together we can make sense of what is holding you back, causing you pain and distress, directing your decision choices or making you unhappy in areas of your life, personal and otherwise.
'I was almost paralysed with anxiety and feelings of panic and distress...Angie helped me to untangle the the mess of threads in my head and put them into order...' Rachel
What we need to solve it - offering privacy and a safe confidential space - by listening, understanding, supporting and helping can make sense of what seems so complicated and unfathomable.
'The sessions left me feeling empowered and with a sense of my own self-worth. I found confidence in myself ...' WJW
What will you experience in the process - being heard and understood is the start of the journey which focuses on gaining deeper understanding, encouraging change, acceptance, growth and development.
'...the sessions helped me know myself better and understand how I could make life less stressful for me and those dearest to me...' Chris
What is unique about what I can offer you - When clients see the clearing of their 'fog' or have that 'light bulb' moment is part of the counselling journey which signifies growth and understanding. This is achieved by working together. I offer a rich and diverse outlook, knowledge and understanding of life, plus counselling experience in abundance.
' I am so very glad I sought Angie's help, and will be forever grateful for enabling me to become the much happier person I am now...'
' Angie has given me more self confidence and a fresh outlook on life...'
So if you want to have a talk about what is worrying you give me a no obligation call and let's see what we can do to help you take the first step.
' I would recommend her without reservation...if you are unsure, seriously just give Angie a call...meeting her has been a great benefit...'
