I am an Integrative Psychotherapist. I work from the premise that we all carry the wisdom within us to know what is best for our progress and development. I am a qualified practitioner and I have completed Postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology, Integrative Counselling/Psychotherapy with the required clinical experience. My research and my area of work is Domestic Violence, Sexual abuse, HIV/AIDS, BME Communities, Children, Young people & Families.
To complement my practice I have trained in an Integrative model, which is Psychodynamic, Person centred, Gestalt, TA & Cognitive Behavioural Therapy - I mainly practice MCBT techniques which identify and target destructive thought patterns which have a negative impact on our emotions and behaviour and Transpersonal Therapy skills, which place our spirituality and soul as central to our experience.
I work with Young people’s services, specialised in Young People & Families. I have long term experience working at Black, Minority Ethnic Community Services as a BAME practitioner and a Project Co-coordinator.
I also work with other referral agencies such as NHS, GP’s, Worthing & Adur Minority Ethnic empowerment, The Women`s Hub.
Specialised Area of Work
I offer a culturally sensitive Psychological assessments/ Counselling/Consultation service tailored to all ages, BME communities, Children, Young people and Families.
I understand the difficulties people face being in a new land away from family and friends they grew up with, coupled with day to day struggles. These struggles can impact aspects of daily life and relationships leading to frustration and unhappiness. I look after your mental wellbeing and can help deal with issues such as Anxiety, Depression, Addictions, self harm, Relationship difficulties/breakdown, HIV, LGBTU Issues, DV, Sexual abuse, Trauma, Bereavement, illness etc.
