I love people – their diversity, quirks, their stories, their triumphs, and failures. I will never get tired of humans and what makes each one of us so unique.

I didn't set out to be a Counsellor, I worked for nearly 20 years in the travel industry and ended up in a stressful management role that eventually affected my health. After taking a bit of time off I decided on a career change and initially trained and worked as a Reflexologist. This led to an increasing interest in what shapes us to be who we are and how we manage our lives daily.

Since qualifying in 2008 I have not looked back and know I am truly in the profession I was meant to be in. I feel privileged when people share their lives with me and honoured that they trust me and the therapeutic relationship we build.

I use an integrative counselling approach, which has a basis in humanistic/person-centred practice. This means that I might use a variety of methods, theories, and techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Transactional Analysis (TA), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This integrative framework and my experiential training enable me to work in a way appropriate to your needs and covering a wide range of issues.

For further information please email or phone me, if I do not pick up straight away, it may be because I am with a client, so leave a message and your details and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

My counselling hours normally start at 9am and end at 5pm Monday to Thursday, however, I can be flexible if you require a session before work. I have a counselling room that is in my garden away from the house, which enables privacy and confidentiality to be maintained.

Counselling sessions can be flexible in the way you have them, such as face-to-face one week, then if you are unable to attend face-to-face the following week we can do Zoom or phone. It's your session to have in a way that works for you. I offer short-term counselling and open-ended sessions, which will be reviewed periodically throughout the time, to see that you are getting a therapeutic experience.
