With over 20 years experience of dealing with significant life events and complex mental health issues, including Depression, Anxiety, Social phobia's, Personality disorders and PTSD. I will work with you to help you to achieve your goals. I will not tell you what to do, or make judgements or assumptions, but I will listen to what is impacting on your life, and will guide you in a way which will help you to process and make sense of what is happening. My experience of working within Public Service allows me to understand the impact of unforeseen life changes and stressful situations, including the impact on family and friends.
I will draw upon my personal and professional experience, knowledge and thorough assessment of your needs and together will help you work through and provide coping strategies to enable you to live the life you want. Each client is unique and as such requires individualised interventions and techniques to assist in your recovery, delivered at your own pace.
The first step is recognising that you may need therapy, it may be an individual decision, a friend, relative, colleague or medical professional. Counselling is a personal choice and not all therapists work the same way, it is important that you feel comfortable, safe and heard within my dedicated therapy space. Feel free to contact me with any queries.
