When you attend a therapy session my intention is help you feel comfortable and at ease. Starting therapy can be quite daunting so it is important for you to feel safe without the fear of being judged. It can sometimes be difficult meeting a counsellor for the first time but these feelings are quite normal and will soon pass.
I work in a warm and empathic way allowing you to explore your feelings without holding any judgment towards you. As we work together you should find that it becomes easier to explore your difficulties thus enabling you to make more sense of what's going on.
On the initial consultation we will discuss what has brought you to therapy and how you feel I may be able to help you. The time is yours so you are free to ask any questions that you wish regarding how I work or what is to be expected. If at the end of the initial session you decide that you wish to enter therapy we will agree a date to commence and then go from there.
Each consecutive sessions will last fifty minutes and charged at £60.00 per session, however I do offer block bookings of 6 sessions at a discounted rate.
For more complex issues such as Sex or Pornography addiction my fees are £70.00 for fifty minutes.
I am also a qualified Supervisor for therapists who are looking for supervision.
I am fully insured and abide by the ethical guidelines of the BACP.
Please contact me direct if you wish to have an initial telephone conversation prior to booking.
