I have been running my own private practice since March 2020, working remotely. All my current client's have telephone sessions and I have found that this way of working has been positive, convenient and a less intimidating way for client's to obtain the support they need.
In 2015 I was fortunate enough to be able to obtain counselling support following a traumatic family bereavement. This short course of talking therapy gave me a safe place where I could process the difficult emotions I felt, somewhere I could share how I was truly feeling and be heard. The positive experience I had inspired me to change my career and train as a counsellor. I currently run a small practice and provide calm, caring and individualised support. I enjoy working creatively but the foundation of my work is person-centred counselling. I believe that everyone knows instinctively what is right for them but sometimes they need to be heard in a non-judgemental, accepting environment where they can safely explore their feelings.
