Hello my name is Gina and I am a supportive, friendly and down to earth therapist, who is understanding, approachable, caring and empathic.
I offer a safe, confidential and open space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, where you will be heard and listened to in a non-judgmental and accepting way.
I believe in empowering clients to make their own informed choices to bring about change in a non-directive way.
My model of therapy is client led, with the belief that you know what is right for you, and that you are the expert in your life, respecting your autonomy. Where witnessing clients become more self-aware and self-confident is something I find really rewarding.
I am a fully qualified and accredited therapist trained in the Person-Centred Approach, achieving a BA (Hons) in Humanistic Counselling Practices, and have worked with children, teenagers, young adults and adults, male and female, from different cultures and backgrounds.
I have worked with trauma, including relational trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, low self-esteem and conditions of worth, bullying, child and parent conflict, insecure attachment and survivors of sexual assault.
I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society, as well as a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to and abide by their Ethical Frameworks. I hold a clear enhanced DBS and hold personal indemnity insurance.
I mainly work online and by telephone, although I am open to face to face, so please do get in touch.
