My name is Karen. I am a wife, mother, and daughter. I have experienced the highs and lows of life; giving me a profound insight into how therapy can reinforce a positive mindset and change lives. I am deeply compassionate towards one’s experiences and provide a consensual understanding by placing the formation of a therapeutic relationship at the forefront of my counselling method. Through individuals being treated with respect, acceptance and understanding, an open and honest relationship can be built.

I am an experienced Psychotherapist and Trainer working with, adults, children and young people in Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. As a Humanistic Psychotherapist, I look at individuals as a whole and aim to support people in achieving their potential. Having trained as an integrative psychotherapist, I am able to make use of a range of models and approaches to therapy. I work to the ethical framework and guidelines of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I attend regular professional supervision and am committed to Continued Professional Development.

I have worked as a psychotherapist for over 10 years and have worked with a plethora of individuals (aged 4-82), with a range of experiences. My approach utilises my training, professional and life experience, to provide an empathetic listening ear in a welcoming and non-judgemental way. I provide a safe, transparent and real space where you are free to voice and explore your fears, anxieties and vulnerabilities in confidence. In seeking a friendly and nurturing therapist with whom you are at ease with, you can feel more supported. Moreover, we can work together to progress towards making beneficial changes to your life.

I offer a free 15-minute phone call introduction. Should we proceed, sessions are available in my purpose built safe, and welcoming office in central Lincoln, with free parking and disabled access (along with access to public transport).
