About me
Hi I'm Chris, thanks for visiting my page.

I know how daunting it can feel looking for the right counsellor, and how important it is to get the right person for you. The relationship is the very cornerstone of therapy and enables us to feel safe as we explore the sensitive, hidden or protected parts of our self.

If you are feeling stress & anxiety, its affecting your everyday life, your relationships, your sleep, you might feel the desire to get away from your life or a hopelessness that things won't ever change - then please get in touch.

Few of us function well when we are unhappy or stressed, and counselling gives you additional emotional support to work through whatever is troubling you - but not on your own.

I believe we all have the capacity to adapt and grow whatever we’ve experienced in life. Sometimes it might be a struggle, we are unhappy, angry, experiencing anxiety and we might not know why. We might be avoiding something, using coping strategies that aren't helpful, or grew up with a childhood that is still felt and causes discomfort and stress in our relationships and life today.

You might be looking for help to:

cope with anxiety
feel more comfortable asking for needs to be met
be able to say no to unwanted requests
feel more confident
sleep better
stop self- sabotaging behaviours
not to be haunted by guilt or shame
drop coping mechanisms that no longer help
better understand yourself
Whatever has bought you here today we can explore.

How I work

Working in a trauma informed person-centred way (which means I understand how distressing experiences affect us and that the counselling sessions are led by you) I offer a safe confidential space with no judgement to talk about your thoughts and feelings and to make sense of what you are experiencing.

I specialise in anxiety, loss, trauma and accepting change

My style is very human - I work in an open, warm, clear, boundaried and professional way to create security and allow you to feel vulnerable in a safe space. Feel free to contact me to see how my style would suit you.

I offer long term and short term in person sessions (Amersham) and Zoom sessions (Nationwide).

Sessions are 50 minutes duration and held at the same time each week.

Locations

Easily accessible to Amersham include Watford, Uxbridge, High Wycombe, Hemel Hempstead. Whole of UK nationwide covered with online sessions.
