CYPT

I am compassionate, friendly and professional. I feel privileged to work with both adults and children/young people. Adept at establishing a trust rapport with individuals of all ages. I have experience of working with various presentations and within various settings, supporting people of different backgrounds. I value a persons individuality, offering empathy and validation of the difficulties being experienced, providing a space to discuss each persons requirements in a calm, non-judgemental, supportive place.

Therapy will be provided as part of a clinical supervised private practice. As a qualified Psychotherapist, a UKCP Accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor I work to UKCP professional code of ethics as well as a being a Professional Accredited Member of NCS working within their professional framework for working with CYP. Up to date insurance and enhanced DBS. I have access to therapy rooms conveniently located either Holderness Road or Beverley Road in Hull. Therapy rooms can be booked in advance ensuring consistency and continuity as well as a safe, confidential space to make sense of any familiar behaviours, patterns and feelings and explore how past experiences impact your core beliefs about self, the world and others. I like to draw on a variety of techniques to connect with you and to find healthy ways to manage internalised experiences and why these may be impacting you now.

My belief in the concept of early intervention and prevention and willingness to understand and be kinder to my inner child through clinical supervision and my own personal therapy enables me to walk by your side at a pace that feels safe, empowers, encourages autonomy and importantly validates your feelings with compassion and warmth.

Appointments available during the day. If you feel we could work together please contact me for an initial telephone conversation.
