COUNSELLING
I provide a safe, empathic and warm space in which a therapeutic relationship of trust, respect and equality can be built. Only you know what it is like to be you, so it is important for you to be listened to, and feel valued and secure enough with me to explore your thoughts and feelings, and to be able to make sense of your experiences or patterns of behaviour without fear of criticism or judgement.

Counselling can sometimes be painful, and psychotherapy can be hard work, but with your commitment they can be incredibly healing, rewarding and empowering.

As an Integrative Relational Counsellor/Psychotherapist I am qualified in Humanistic and Developmental-Psychodynamic perspectives. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and incorporate Mindfulness into my Practice.

I have received specialised training in the ‘Rewind Technique’ facilitating fast trauma, anxiety, panic and phobia recovery.

SUPERVISION
I offer a professional and positive working relationship of mutual respect that fosters equality, fairness, and growth. I strive to facilitate a space of safety, containment, and restoration, to enable you to reflect on all aspects of your practice in order to work effectively, safely and ethically, and support you with ongoing training and the personal resourcefulness required to undertake caring for people in distress.

As an integrative relational counsellor, I am guided by the Hawkins and Shoet 7-Eyed Model for the relational aspects of supervision, and Proctor and Inskipp's Functional Model for the practical and managerial aspects. I have undertaken additional training with NScience as a Trauma Informed Supervisor enabling me to assess for and safeguard you from compassion fatigue, burnout, and vicarious trauma.

My private practice specialises in complex and attachment/relational trauma. I have additional professional training in domestic abuse, eating disorders and addiction.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
I currently have my own Private Practice in Farnborough which I started as an Affiliate with The Eaves Counselling and Psychology in Farnham. Prior to this, I worked at the Farnham and Guildford Colleges as a student and staff counsellor. I am easily accessible from Fleet, Frimley, Camberley, Aldershot and surrounding areas.

In addition to private practice, I have volunteered for the Rape and Sexual Assault Support Centre (RASASC) working with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse and victims of sexual assault.

Prior to becoming a counsellor and psychotherapist, I worked in frontline services such as the criminal justice system, children’s centres and the Citizens Advice Bureau in addition to volunteering as a mentor for SSAFA and The Prince’s Trust.

PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIPS
In addition to the National Counselling Society, I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the North East Hampshire Domestic Abuse Forum, and a research member with the Traumatic Stress Research Consortium.

I have completed training and am compliant with the United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR) and am a member of the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

I have completed cyber training to Amber status. This organisation tailors their membership and training to the privacy and security needs of therapists and their clients.
