My work mainly focuses on the use of conventional "talking therapy" which one might describe as a "stream of consciousness" which helps both of us get a sense of whats going on for you, and helps get in touch with potential underlying issues, that for one reason or another, have been very much "unconscious"

Having said that, talk may not always be enough for some; often people will tell me that they fully embrace the talking therapy ethos, but also need something more, which i feel translates to;
Tools to cope with day to day living, and stresses; for some, this might mean struggling to live in a mostly neuro-typical world; for others it might be managing personality traits, emotion regulation, or unresolved trauma, or struggles with relationships, or entrenched behavioural issues
Useful resources i use include DBT Tools & Skills, such as "distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness" extensive 12 step knowledge, and a wealth of experience with a diverse range of issues. Insight, and honest open reflections can also be an effective way of challenging stuck patterns.
