I am a qualified CBT Therapist with over 20 years of experience in the areas of addiction and recovery. I understand the feelings that you are going through, possibly fear or anxiety or sometimes that feeling of " not being good enough" that drives you to these addictions.

I can help you to try to deal with these and help you to overcome your addiction together. I can also help clients in other areas such as anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem and confidence, and many more.

It can be really daunting to share your deepest feelings and problems with someone. As a therapist, I am trained to be able to listen to these in a non-judgmental and confidential environment. This relates to the well know phrase " A problem shared is a problem halved".

CBT therapy looks at the present rather than the past and identifies negative or maladaptive thinking styles that make you see things differently and out of focus. I will work with you in a collaborative manner so we can correct this “blurred view” of life and bring clarity, focus, and direction back into your life.

As a CBT therapist, I do not “fix you”. We work together during the sessions using a variety of tools and techniques that should help to bring about the changes you are seeking to make to your life. " Together we will come out of the darkness and into the light".

I know it can be difficult to decide whether counselling or a particular counsellor is right for you so I am offering a 30-minute introductory phone call for just £10 which is deductible from your first session if you decide to go ahead.

  • Qualifications & Experience
    Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Including Group work at Honours Degree level which I obtained through the Centre of Therapy in Glasgow.

    COSCA Counselling Skills Certificate.

    Trauma Informed Practioner.
