I’m a Registered General Nurse and Registered Psychiatric Nurse, specialising in Adult Mental Health over many years. This has provided me with extensive experience working with, and understanding psychiatric disorders, mental ill health and distress, with the nuances that may present and may be overlooked. I have active registration and revalidation with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

My continuing interest in mental health led me to qualifying as a psychotherapist specialising in CBT with its focus on thoughts and their impact on feelings and behaviours. I also incorporate integrative therapeutic styles of compassion focussed therapy, transcultural therapy and relaxation.

My working style is person centred, creative, flexible and non-judgemental. I thrive on providing quality of client engagement and interactions. My work is underpinned by respect, compassion and honesty. Given the depth and breath of my experience of mental health and mental illness, I take a truly holistic approach to any presenting problem. If you feel my approach appeals to you, please get in touch.
