As a fully qualified and experienced counsellor, I will work alongside you, at your pace to explore the issues you chose to bring to the counselling sessions.
I use an integrative style, drawing on several techniques and interventions depending on each client’s needs. Basically a flexible, tailored approach to each individual client. I offer a warm, empathic and confidential service placing an emphasis on creating a respectful therapeutic relationship where you can feel safe to look at your issues.

1st SESSION
Making contact may be scary but is the first step. You may not know what exactly you want to talk about in counselling. It may be that things are just ‘not right’ for you. Research has shown that one of the most important aspects in counselling is a good client - counsellor relationship. This is why if you prefer, I can offer an initial session (approx 30 mins) at a reduced rate, where we can have a chat about your situation and what you would like to achieve through counselling. You will have opportunity ask any questions you may have and get a genuine feel for how counselling works.

Through counselling you may gain insight into patterns of relationships/behaviours, increase your self-awareness, improve self-confidence and feel more able to face challenges. I am motivated to support clients to help find their own way to strength and peace of mind, understanding, acceptance and control of life.
