Hi my name Robert and I am an accredited counsellor and mindfulness trainer with over 20 years’ experience in the field. I currently also work in the NHS as a Health & Wellbeing Coach supporting our staff. My passion in life is empowering individuals, in their efforts to regain, as well as maintain their sense of resilience and emotional wellbeing.
As an emotional resilience coach I would say that my overall approach is based on mindfulness. I also value being practical and solution focused whilst at the same time allowing a safe space for depth of healing. I follow the belief that every individual has the innate capacity to take steps towards a happy life.
It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change and I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
I have spent 5 years living in a Zen Buddhist monastery whilst living in South Africa and have a great sensitivity to cultural diversity and enjoy supporting clients from all walks of life.
I offer trauma informed and compassion focused coaching and draw on modalities such as:
Mindful Self-compassion, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy,
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, EMDR Resource Enhancement Training, Internal Family Systems as well as Embodied Coaching Practice
I have lived experience of having healed through depression and am the author of Managing Depression with Mindfulness for Dummies.
