My mindfulness teaching style is very light hearted and practical which also draws on my personal insights and experience. I teach mindfulness in a scientific, fun and gentle way focusing on making mindfulness practical and useful in your daily life.
I am an Accredited Counsellor with the National Counselling Society as well as a Qualified MBSR Mindfulness Teacher with the University of California San Diego Medical School, USA. I spent 5 years in a Zen Buddhist monastery where I lived, worked and trained in mindfulness before joining the NHS. It was during this time that I was fortunate enough to meet HH the 14th Dalai Lama. I have been practicing and teaching mindfulness for over 20 years have taught over 30 MBSR Mindfulness 8-Week courses. I was commissioned to write a book called Managing Depression with Mindfulness for Dummies which serves as a support to people in recovery. I am very interested in neuroscience and have studied the neuroscience and physiology of mindfulness with Neuragy UK. I am CRB checked and fully insured.
I am a member of: National Counselling Society, British Neuroscience Association, Association of Contextual Behavioural Science and the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies.
