NCS | Return to Practice Statement Guidelines

Return to Practice Statement Guidelines

The following are some guidelines to help you with your written statement in order to return to practice:

  • How do you feel about going back into this line of work after time out?
  • How are you going to use supervision to support you in your return?
  • Where do you think are your gaps in competence and knowledge, and what do you need to brush up on? How will you do this and what actions will you take to ensure this is completed?
  • What have you done during your time out to keep abreast of current counselling issues and any changes with relevant laws for example. Please present any CPD certificates you may have gained over this time to support this application.
