We offer Organisational Membership to a variety of associations that offer relevant services and support throughout the counselling profession. Ranging from addiction services, bereavement support, to those affected by sexual abuse. Other examples may include those offering relationship counselling, child and adolescent counselling, and or, companies offering online learning and support platforms, the list goes on.
Organisational Membership
An organisation of any size which shares our values and ethos, and works within the wider field of wellbeing, mental health, and/or counselling and psychotherapy. The organisation does not need to provide counselling services.
Being an Organisational Member does not confer a mark of accreditation or approval by the Society. Instead, it functions more as a partnership of mutual support and encouragement.
The benefits of organisational membership are mutual support and growth, sharing of communications where relevant, and the ability to work together on projects and keep each other informed.
Please visit our Organisational Members page to see who we work with, and what they do.
Applying for organisational membership is straightforward and does not involve a detailed checking process by the Society.

Trusted Resource
Organisational members who run, for example, a library of counselling & psychotherapy related resources for counsellors can get in touch with us to find out about our Trusted Resource recognition. Trusted Resource recognition cannot be applied to training courses, regular training events, or any activities that would otherwise require training recognition. It can be applied to things like short one-off lectures, journal articles/reference libraries, guest speaker events etc. Resources must be of high-quality (evidenced by positive, legitimate customer reviews) and be produced by relevantly qualified/experienced professionals. The Organisation must have a robust privacy policy and relevant insurance (if applicable) in place. A random sampling of content will be verified by a Society officer.

Recognised Counselling Service
A recognised Counselling Service is an organisation which provides services to clients and has at least 2 registrants on the Society’s Accredited Register. Gaining this status is a mark of quality and recognition offered by the Society.
The Society undertakes a checking process before recognising a service. This includes proof of insurance, a proper complaints process, abiding by our Code of Ethics and an understanding that the service could be subject to audit.
The benefits of being an RCS include the public assurance provided that the service has been vetted and approved by the Society, as well as the support the Society may offer the service.
